MAC Select Cover Up Concealer in NC44 Review,Swatch and Photos

Today I'll be reviewing MAC Select Cover Up Concealer in the shade NC 44.

What does MAC say about Select Cover Up concealer:-

Liquid camouflage for the skin. Texture-free, virtually invisible. Comes in a tube. Blends in. Brightens and lightens dark areas, erases spots, evens-out skin tones. Makes skin flaw-free. Use pre-foundation, or on its own. Don't reveal it, conceal it.

This concealer is very close to my heart since it was my very first purchase from MAC along with my 217 brush! I remember I visited MAC to check out lipsticks and paint pots but came out of the store with this instead. As most of you know by now I  have extremely dark under eye circles due to heredity which are quite difficult to cover up completely.

The SA tried this concealer and I quite liked the over all natural effect it gave and so I was matched to NC 44 which is quite dark than my skin tone but the SA suggested that concealer needs to be a tone or two darker to your original skin tone and since I quite liked the outcome I bought it.

The concealer comes in a small tube packaging which I find very travel friendly. I dislike packaging where you need to dip you hand or brush in the product since its way too unhygienic! The nozzle dispenses small quantity of product which is perfect since this concealer is quite loaded with pigment and you just need a small dot to conceal the eyes.

The concealer is not extremely thick in consistency so spreads well and gives quite good coverage. It covers acne marks and hyper pigmentation pretty well. The coverage I would say is medium to full depending upon the amount you use. It settles into satin finish and gives natural look. It does not settle into fine lines nor emphasis dryness around the eyes which is a huge plus for me since I have quite dry skin around my eyes.

The staying power is pretty good and it stays on me for whole days under the eyes but when used around nose and mouth it stays on for 6 hours only after which is fades away. I usually use only this concealer around eyes and mouth and I am good to go. The concealer comes in lots of shades so I am sure everyone should find their perfect match! The price vs quantity is pretty good and it will last you a long time even if you use the concealer every single day! Its highly potent so you need a ting amount only to cover the dark circles.

Cons:-

-> Does not last for long if applied on face especially around nose and mouth area

-> It does dry fast so once must be quick to blended it out

Its a great concealer for everyday wear especially for under eyes and gives polished natural look! Highly recommended to everyone!
