Nars Blush In Lovejoy Review, Swatch and FOTD

Its not a secret that I love blushes! I don't hoard them without thinking but most of my purchases are quite planned and researched! Recently I have started to invest in high end makeup brands like theBalm, Nars, MAC for blushes and foundations and even though the prices are quite high but if you get good deals on them then why not..right? 

Nars Lovejoy Blush is described as "shimmering bronzed rose" which I find quite accurate for the shade description! If bronze and rose would have a marriage their child would be very much like Lovejoy! Did I tell you I absolutely adore the name of this blush!

If you are familiar with Nars packaging you would know all Nars products come with rubberized packaging. The blush comes in a black cardboard box packaging which nice and secured. The blush case comes in a rubber outer cover packaging which looks quite fancy to be honest and feels nice and soft to touch. But over period of time it does have tendency to attract dust and can look shabby!

The blush comes with a big mirror which comes in handy for touch-ups or while travelling since I really hate to carry an extra mirror just for touch-ups! You get 4.8g of product for 29$ which definitely is on an expensive side but in my personal opinion totally worth it! Read on to find out why :)

The shade Lovejoy is gorgeous shimmering bronze with a touch of red in it. Its not overly shimmery as described but it gives a beautiful glow to the cheeks! The blush is very pigmented and just a touch of brush is enough. The texture is bit stiff as compared to some other blushes I own but it blends really well on cheeks! The shade looks quite intimidating in the pan but once applied it gives lovely bronzed cheeks with touch of red! The gold shimmer is not chunky or gritty at all but rather it gives beautiful glow to the skin. The blush is perfect for summers since it acts like a blush+bronzer!

The staying power is absolutely amazing! It stays on my combination skin for 8+ hours without any fading or turning blotchy! I think the blush will suit all skin tones especially medium to dusky skin tones. Also one has to be careful while using this blush since its easy to go overboard with it due to very high pigmentation and this I am talking from experience :)

This is how the blush looks on my NC40-42 skin tone. I only have foundation and concealer on my face with this blush. The only problem I feel might be for girls who have natural redness on their cheeks, this blush since it does have red tones to it can emphasize the natural redness but other than that its a must have blush from Nars!

-> One has to be careful in applying since its easy to go overboard with it

Nars Lovejoy blush is very unique shade and I don't have anything like it in my collection. I definitely recommend this shade to everyone who wants a blush which can act up as a bronzer as well and if you are looking for a blush which gives nice rosy flush to your cheeks with subtle bronzed glow! It goes extremely well with brown/bronze/gold eye makeup and I think this will suit Indian skin tones perfectly!
