Maybelline Color Tattoos are by far the best affordable cream eyeshadows available in India comparable to MAC! Who doesn't love them? I know I do! When these were launched in India last year they were a huge hit and I grabbed almost all the shades available which reminds me I need to do a swatch post of all my color tattoos asap...
The only thing bothered me was the color range! So many shades available in the US were not made available in India..why? And one in particular which stood out for me was "Tough As Taupe" coz you all know I love my neutrals! So when I found this shade in Kuala Lumpur I knew I had to get it and I am so glad I did!
We all are familiar with Maybelline color tattoos so I won't go in detail about them. The shade Tough As Taupe is one of the best neutral shade available in this range. Its stunning matte greyish taupe which is perfect for daily wear. The texture is highly creamy..infact I found it creamier than rest of my color tattoos. Its completely matte shade with no shimmer at all which makes it perfect to be used for office wear as well. I have used it on its own as well as a primer and works excellent both ways. The part about these color tattoos are their long lasting formula! Once set it does not budge or crease at all until you remove them using a makeup remover. What more can one expect?
Unfortunately the shade Tough as Taupe is not available locally in India, I picked up mine from Guardian for 19RM which is between 350-400 INR.

Recently MAC released their Pro Longwear Paint Pots and one of them is dupe for Maybelline Tough as Taupe, as you can see Tailor Grey paint pot is very close to Tough As Taupe. I am sure once blended they both will look exactly the same! MAC retails for 21$ I think and Maybelline color tattoos between 5$ to 6$ now you do the math!

DeleteI nearly fainted when I saw the blue mascara on your beautiful eyes! I have used mascaras for so many years, and have not attempted one in blue! Time to find one now..... and that eye shadow shade looks absolutely natural on you!
