Maybelline Dream Matte Powder Beige Review, Swatches and Comparison!

Hey Everyone!

I know I have been MIA since couple of weeks now but lots of stuff was happening in my personal as well as professional life which took a drastic toll on my health. First got bad cold, cough, fever and throat infection and just as I started to feel better got severe stomach infection from which I am still recovering. I have so many reviews and products to share with you all, will try to catch up soon! Promise!

If you have been following me you would know that I was looking for a decent compact powder for my combination skin. The last one I tried was the Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed powder which didn't fare well on my combination skin and found really drying! So last time when I visited mom's place my sister handed me Maybelline Dream Matte Powder which she had been using and was quite happy with it. I had used this one last year and absolutely loved it so thought why not give it a try again and boy I am glad I did!
Maybelline Dream Matte Powder comes in really stylish cream colored packaging. The best part about the case is that it comes with a inbuilt mirror compartment and a sponge! To access the mirror the bottom most compartment needs to be slid open and voila you have a good quality sponge and a decent sized mirror both are perfect for travelling! Absolutely love the idea behind it.

The compact is priced at 475 INR and contains 9 gm of product which is quite quantity for a compact powder. The powder feels soft and silky on the skin. The texture of the powder is extremely finely milled and does not feel powdery at all. There is no powdery fall outs at all.

The shade I got is Beige Medium 2-2.5 which is a bit lighter for my skin tone but once it's applied it does not give white caste or look chalky at all. Over all it gives a nice polished look to the face which I find very handy especially when I am in hurry. The coverage is not very high since it is a compact powder and not a powder foundation, it even's out the skin tone well but will not cover any acne scars, spots or hyper pigmentation.

As far as oil control goes it controls oil and on my combination skin for 2 to 3 hours easily after which I may need to touch up. Please note I quite a combination skin which dry skin around nose, mouth and eye area and I feel this powder does not accentuate the dryness or cling to dry patches as Rimmel Stay Matte Powder would do! Over all this is a great compact powder, perfect for office and I would definitely recommend it to everyone!

Below I have compared Rimmel Stay Matte Powder with the Maybelline Dream Matte Powder and you can see below how dry and flaky Rimmel Stay Matte looks vs the Maybelline Dream Matte which goes on smoothly over the skin.
