Inglot Under Makeup Base Review and Swatches

Hey Everyone!

Today I'll be reviewing the one and only primer I own in my vanity and its Inglot Under Makeup Base. It's priced for 900 INR and has 30ml of product. I bought it about a year back on 20% discount from majorbrands.in.

Description:- Sponge-like spheres absorb excess facial oil and scatter light, giving all skin types a matte look and silky smooth finish. Use to prolong the life of your foundation, turning your skin into the perfect blank canvas. PARABEN FREE FORMULA, NOT TESTED ON ANIMALS.30 ML/1 US FL OZ

The primer comes in a tiny see through plastic tube with a screw lid. The packaging is cute and very travel friendly, I have traveled with it in my handbag a number of times and never had any issues. Plus the see through tube lets you know exactly the amount of product left.

The texture of the primer is very much like gel as you can see below. It is transparent in coloe and goes on smoothly on the skin. It makes the skin silky and smooth due to hirgh silicones. Even though it contains loads of silicons it never broke me out which is a huge plus since I very acne prone skin.

As a primer I would day it does average. It definitely mattify's the skin well and keeps it from getting oily and shiny for 4 hours and even longer if you are in air conditioned environment the whole day. The makeup does last a little longer and looks fresh. Since I have combination skin I often face issues with certain foundations settling into pores and exaggerating dry patches especially around the mouth but with this primer I see my foundation does not settle into pores and around the dry patches. My only concern is that it does not fill in the pores or fine lines which was one of the main reason's why I got this primer in the first place. So if you are looking for something which will fill in your pores and make them look invisible this will not work! Overall a decent primer and I would definitely recommend it.

Final Thoughts
Inglot Under Makeup Base

Pros:-

-> Simple and sturdy packaging
-> Light weight gel like texture
-> Applies smoothly over the skin
-> Makes the skin appear smooth and silky
-> Enhances the wear of makeup
-> Mattify's the skin instantly
-> Controls oil and shine for 4+ hours
-> Did not break me out
-> Helps in foundation not settling in pores and fine lines
-> Makes foundation go smoothly over dry patches and not accentuate them
-> Paraben free
-> No animal testing
-> Available online and Inglot has stores in major cities

Cons:-

-> Does not fill in the pores and make them go invisible
-> Can be pricey

Rating:- 4 out of 5

  1. Ahh, I've been wondering about this. Hmm, maybe I should give this a try. But the Clinique colour correcting ones seem to have caught my eye as well. Ah, decisions, decisions.

  2. I want to try this but it is pricey and I wonder why does it not cover pores? I have the one from Smashbox and it works really well on my skin. Will get this one when the old one gets over. Nice review Parita :) Have you tried the one from Colorbar?
