Nars 2015 Fall Collection - Pasiphae Eyeshadow and Tribulation Blush Review, Swatches, Comparison & FOTD

Hey Everyone!

Nars Pasiphae Review, Nars Tribulation Review

Recently Nars released its 2015 Fall Collection and I picked up couple of items from the collection. Nars released a couple of dual intensity eyeshadows in this collection and I picked up the shade Pasiphae which is gorgeous dual chrome dirty olive green with red undertones. I also picked up the blush Tribulation which even though named as a blush its definitely more of a highlighter. So if you want to know how they fared please keep reading!

Nars Dual Intensity Eyeshadows as the name suggests are sheer when applied dry but turn opaque when applied wet. The shade Pasiphae is gorgeous dirty olive green with warm undertones. It has a duo chrome shift to it which brings out warm tones depending upon where the light is hit. The texture is smooth and buildable. Its not dry like some of the other shades in this range. It blends beautifully on the lids and stayed on my eyes for 7 hours without creasing.

Nars Pasiphae

The duo chrome reminded me of MAC Blue Brown Pigment which I do not own but I do own shades similar to blue brown like Wet N Wild Comfort Zone palette the shade Definer and Inglot AMC Pigment in the shade 85..both are duo chrome with red-blue shift to it whereas Nars Pasiphae has green-red shift to it. Below are swatches for comparison.

Ever since Jaclyn Hill came out with Champagne Pop I have been loving peachy highlighters! So when I saw Nars Tribulation Blush it reminded me of Champagne Pop and I had to give it a try! Nars Tribulation is a subdued version of Champagne Pop, its a lot more natural looking and has less peach undertones than champagne pop. If Becca Opal and Champagne Pop ever had a baby it would look like Nars Tribulation Blush so if you have becca's opal and champagne pop just mix them together and you should get something similar to Nars Tribulation :)

The texture is bit dry and dense and a lot less powdery than becca shimmering skin perfector formula. Even though its not as creamy as shimmering skin perfectors, its smooth and blends out beautifully! It gives very natural glow to the cheeks without emphasizing pores of any imperfection on the skin. It gives lit from within glow which I absolutely love! Its perfect for day time wear and for someone who loves that subtle glow on the cheeks without looking like a light bulb! It does not contain any shimmer or glitter particles so it would suit all skin types.

    1. Aditi Nars Pasiphae is one of a kind...the duo chrome is very different from the ones we see in the market :)
