Real Techniques Powder Brush Review

Hey Everyone!

Today I'll be sharing my thoughts on the Real Techniques Powder Brush which retails for 10$.

I don't really own a lot of powder brushes, this one is my second powder brush the first one being from B&D which I don't really like and costs even more than this one! Real Techniques brushes are one of the most affordable brushes we have in today's market with reasonable pricing!

Real Techniques Powder Brush comes in a plastic case packaging as all of the other RT brushes. All Real Techniques brushes are made from taklon fibres and are 100% cruelty free! The powder brush comes in orange handle with rubberized bottom. The handle is made from aluminium if I am not wrong and is quite light weight. The best part is that this brush stands on itself without support! The bottom is quite broad which makes it perfect to balance the brush on it own.

Makeup Basics - How To Conceal Under Eye Dark Circles - Step By Step

Hey everyone!

One of the most common questions I get queries on are on under eye dark circles and how to cover/hide them. So I thought let me do a step by step procedure on how I hide my under eye dark circles and which all products I use. Now please bear in mind I have extremely dark under eye circles due to heredity so this may seem a bit extreme for you but this is how I cover the darkness around my eyes to make them appear brighter and fresh looking. You may not need so many steps and could always skip any if you don't have heavy dark circles like me.

L'oreal Lucent Magique Light Infusing Foundation Review, Swatch and FOTD

Hey everyone!

Today I'll be reviewing the L'oreal Lucent Magique Light Infusing Foundation in the shade G7 ie Golden Bronze

L'oreal Lucent Magique Light Infusing Foundation

I haven't been a big foundation junkie until this year, one of the reasons was the unavailability of the perfect shade in our local foundation. There were not many choices for foundations having proper yellow undertones and the only choice was MAC. So when I was in KL I picked up L'oreal Lucent Magique Foundation which seems to be give very similar results to MUFE HD foundation! Now I don't own the MUFE HD foundation but I have tried it in the store and absolutely loved the results! It gives the most gorgeous natural glowy look and to my surprise L'oreal Lucent Magique foundation also does the same at 1/3rd price!

Banana Boat Ultra Protect SPF 30 Sunscreen Lotion Review

Hey Everyone!

If there is one habit thing which I need to work on it definitely would be to apply sunscreen every single day! We all are aware of the health and skin hazards due to pro long exposure to harmful sun rays spots, wrinkles, fine lines etc! Though I apply sunscreen religiously whenever I step out but I do get lazy when I am indoors and often skip it :( I have started applying sunscreen every single day now irrespective of whether I am going out or not!

theBalm Blush in Fratboy Review, Swatches and FOTD

Hey Everyone!

theBalm Frat Boy Blush

We all have a phase in our makeup journey where we are attracted towards a certain brand or certain products like eyeshadow's, lipsticks or foundations and tend to buy them a lot. For me I am currently going through a blush phase and even though I have so many blushes in my collection I tend to buy more!

Meet the culprit which was responsible for my craze towards blushes...theBalm's Blush in Fratboy!!! I got this blush at the start of this year and since then it has been my to go blush and I just cannot get enough of it!

Bio-Essence Bio Spring Water (Miracle Bio Water) Review

Hey Everyone!

I have been an avid user of spring water facial mists since last couple of years. I was introduced to these back in 2011 I believe when Mr D got Avene Thermal Spring Water for me from Swiss and then there was no looking back :)

When I traveled to Malaysia I could not take my trusted Avene's Thermal Spring Water but luckily came across Bio-essence Miracle Spring Water. As you all know I don't pick up products without doing some research on them and this one had fantastic reviews everywhere so finally I decided to pick it up and boy one of the best decisions of my life!

MAC Studio Fix Powder in NC42 Review and Swatches

Hey Everyone!

MAC Studio Fix Powder Foundation

MAC can be very overwhelming when you first walk-in their store! The same happened with me as well and my first ever purchase from MAC was their 217 brush and Select Moisture Cover Up concealer! I went to check out their paint pots and Studio Fix Powder but came out with completely different things. This happens quite a lot with me..sounds familiar?

Almost a year after my first MAC purchase I finally decided to get their Studio Fix Powder and I am in the shade NC42 which matches my skin pretty good.

Last Malaysia Haul - Tarte, Benefit, NYX, Essence, MUA and ELF

Hey Everyone!

I have been away from MVT for about a week but it seems like a month! Finally got new internet connection so now hopefully I'll be able to blog regularly :) For those who don't know I just shifted from Malaysia back to India and hence was away for few days busy settling down in the new house

Before leaving KL I got a little carried away and hauled quite a few stuff :) I am definitely going on a ban now LOL :) I keep on saying this every month! Anyways lets get back to the haul!

Sigma Flat Kabuki F80 Brush Rave

Hey Everyone!

This is really going to be a very short review as I am sure everyone of you have already heard about this brush or already own one! Sigma brushes need no introduction, they are one of the best brushes in the market especially if you don't want to spend on highly expensive MAC brushes. Sigma has duped almost every MAC brush there is without compromising on quality and reasonably priced!

Sigma Flat Top Kabuki F80 brush is highly raved in the makeup world and thats due to a reason! It does give the most flawless finish of foundation on face without any streaks or unevenness! The brush is amazing in giving an airbrushed finish to the face without making one look like a mask obviously that will also depend upon your foundation. The brush works well with both liquid and cream products. The brush is dense and soft at the same time, the bristles are 100% synthetic so does not absorb much product especially the liquid foundations. I have been using this beauty since a year now and never faced any issues with shedding of bristles.

The only problem I feel is that it take very long time to dry. For me I usually deep clean my brushes once a week with baby shampoo and its usually on weekend and this brush takes the longest to dry..more than 12+ hours! It retains the softness and shape back and does not shed. I always let my brushes air dryer.

One of the downside is the availability since Sigma brushes are not available in India but have to be ordered online and thus poses customs problems :( With the shipping and customs the brush goes very expensive! The best way would be to do a collaboration with your friends and order together this way the shipping will get minimized. Also consider these brushes as an investment and not just a random makeup item. I did the same thing to convince myself to place the order. If you are serious about makeup and want to get that flawless look this is definitely a must have!

You can buy the brush from here

Price:- 18$

Rating:- 5 out of 5

I hope the review was helpful, until next time take care and stay beautiful!

Wet N Wild Color Icon Eyeshadow Palette in Walking On Eggshells Review, Swatches and EOTD

Hey Everyone!

Wet N Wild eyeshadows are one of the most highly raved eyeshadows when it comes to the drugstore brands. One of my favorite you tuber Emily Noel always mentions these in her yearly awards and favorites video so when I got the opportunity to try these I didnt think one bit and got few of the palettes!

Wet N Wild Color Icon Trio's retail at 2.99$ and are really affordable! The one that I have is Walking On Eggshells which is a gorgeous neutral eyeshadows which are perfect for everyday or office wear.

The trio comes in a plastic packaging which looks and feel very cheap and I am sure it will break easily but with that price I really cannot complain about it! The directions to apply each eyeshadow is given on the back of the palette as well as each eyeshadow has the place of the application embedded on it for eg Crease/Lid/Browbone

All three shades are highly soft and pigmented, below I have lightly swatched them only once and you can see how insanely pigmented they are! The browbone shade is light ivory and is perfect for highlighting on browbone or even in the inner corners of the eye. The middle shade is pretty golden bronzed and comes out more golden on my eyes since I have quite pigmented eyelids. The lid color is frosty pink and is very very pigmented! I don't like to use it as all over lid shade as for my skin tone is looks way too frosty but if you have fair to medium skin tone this would look lovely on you! I prefer to use it as inner corner highlight and works well for me

See how insanely pigmented these are? All were swatched only once and without using any base or primer! The texture of the eyeshadows are extremely soft and finely milled. I did not face any issue of fallouts with these but yeah the frosty pink shade does tend to have some fall outs in the pan but blends beautifully on the skin. The staying power is pretty good, I have dry eyelids and these stayed on me for 8+ hours with MAC Soft Ochre as paint pot. Its always better to use a base or primer beneath your eyeshadows to increase their longetivity.

Here I have used the browbone shade to highlight underneath my brows, the crease shade on the lid and the pink shade as inner corner highlight. Its a very basic and simple look which is perfect for office wear or daily wear when you want a simple easy to go look with anything!

Round - Up

Pros:-
-> Cute and compact trio, easy to carry around
-> Highly pigmented eyeshadows!
-> Gorgeous neutral shades perfect for office/daily wear
-> Cheap!
-> Soft and finely milled texture
-> Blends beautifully
-> No fallouts
-> Good staying power
-> Will suit all skin tones

Cons:-
-> Not available locally in India but can be ordered via online sites
-> The plastic case packaging is not very durable

Price:- 2.99$ for 3.5g

Rating:- 4.5 out of 5

I highly recommend Walking On Eggshell trio from Wet N Wild Coloricon collection, its value for money and definitely a must try. I know its not easily available but if get a chance do grab these they are every penny worth!

I hope the review was helpful, until next time take care and stay beautiful!
